In 1956, the Dodgers recaptured the National League pennant and again faced the Yankees in the final World Series at historic Ebbets Field. The Yankees defeated the Dodgers in the final battle between the two teams under the New York skyline. After the 1957 season the Dodgers, along with the Giants, moved west to establish Major League Baseball in California.
